ALAN McFadyen has been photographing the wildlife of the River Tarff in Scotland for so long, he’s become part of the furniture.
Indeed, this kingfisher seemed so comfortable with his presence, it used his head as a perch.
The bird even found his skull handy to dash fish against before gulping them down and diving back into the water for more.
Mr McFadyen, 47, who was pictured by a friend in a nearby hide, said: ‘The kingfisher landed on my head 12 times in the first hour – an unimaginable experience.’
