WHATBOOK..?

JACQUELINE WILSON

-

…are you reading now?

A LONDON Child Of The 1870s by Molly Hughes — a delightful autobiography. I am always fascinated by anything to do with Victorian times.

…would you take to a desert island?

JANE EYRE by Charlotte Bronte. I first read it when I was ten or 11 and have read it many times since — it never fails to delight me.

…first gave you the reading bug?

PROBABLY good old Enid Blyton’s Faraway Tree books, which I read when I was five or six.

…left you cold?

VARIOUS books haven’t worked for me, but I find that if I go back after ten years or so, I finally see what all the fuss was about!

Jacqueline Wilson has teamed up with easyJet to launch the easyJet Book club, which lends out children’s classics on board its UK fleet of airliners.
