Oxford bursar ‘donated £770 in murder victim’s name’

AN OXFORD University worker, on the run following a murder in the US, donated £770 in his alleged victim’s name shortly after the killing, it emerged last night.

Police say Andrew Warren, 56, an assistant bursar at Somerville College, and his alleged accomplice Wyndham Lathem, 42, are wanted for the ‘incredibly gruesome’ murder of Trenton Cornell-Duranleau.

The body was found on July 27 at Lathem’s apartment.

It was reported yesterday that after the knifing, he and Warren drove to a library and made a £770 donation in the name of their victim.

A police source said: ‘We think [the donation] could be potentiall­y a sign of remorse for the involvemen­t in the murder.’
