Strictly’s Craig is Annie’s Miss Mean

HE is known for his barbed comments on Strictly Come Dancing. But Craig Revel Horwood will have to be even more severe when he plays Annie’s mean Miss Hannigan.

New pictures of the choreographer in character emerged after Baz Bamigboye revealed in yesterday’s Mail that Revel Horwood will take over from comedian Miranda Hart as the musical’s orphanage boss from September. He will star in the West End’s Piccadilly Theatre for ten weeks until the end of November, but will have Saturday nights off to film Strictly. ‘Miss Hannigan is evil, sassy and fabulous,’ said Revel Horwood.

‘It will be a real challenge for me not to take her wicked ways to the Strictly judging panel. I can’t wait to get started.’

The 52-year-old previously played Miss Hannigan in the production’s national tour.
