SUN PRIMER

I APPLY Ultrasun Cooling & Moisturising After Sun Cream (£19,

johnlewis.com) before make-up as a moisturising primer. My skin is super dry (which gets worse with stress). Other primers leave my foundation looking flaky. The aftersun glides on with a lovely smooth finish: it’s hydrating as it is designed to combat sunburn — plus the cooling effect is amazing if you suffer hot flushes.

ROOT BOOST

MY WORKING week is incredibly busy, so I’m always on the hunt for quick, easy cheats! A real lifesaver is the Colour Wow Root Cover Up palette (£28.50, spacenk.com). Brush the powder into your hairline to mask greys, then wash it out with shampoo.

DIY PEDICURE

BOHO LOOK

I LOVE a kaftan. The light, flowing material is handy if you’re conscious of your arms, yet the wide neckline can still be sexy when worn off the shoulder. I stock up on colourful patterns from the beach sections in shops such as H&M, then wear them all year round with skinny jeans.

IT IS so important to surround yourself with positive, inspiring people. I used to think I’d found all my friends. However, when my partner died three years ago, I discovered a new support network — which led me to set up my own charity to help others through grief. It’s amazing what a smile can do. Now I take every opportunity to meet new people: even if it’s just a chat in a coffee shop!
