We’ll only get stronger with Terry, says Chester

-

John TERRY has received a resounding report from his centre back partner James Chester after the former Chelsea captain began his Aston Villa career. Terry played well but was unable to prevent opponents hull forcing a 1-1 draw after Gabby Agbonlahor’s early opener. Chester believes Terry will provide essential experience when Villa experience difficulties. ‘You can see why he’s been at a top club for so long and won so many things,’ said Chester. ‘When you play with good players it’s a lot easier. It’s that winning mentality he’s had throughout his career. ‘I think until you’re at this club and play games you don’t appreciate how big it is and how passionate and loyal the support is. ‘If things aren’t going well it can be a difficult place to play at times. I felt Saturday went really well — I think that’s the first goal we’ve conceded when we’ve played together in a game so hopefully it can get stronger and stronger.’ Jarrod Bowen, 20, scored his first hull goal to snatch a point. ‘It was my mum’s birthday so she was in the hull end,’ said Bowen. ‘My dad was there as well. he said he was going to run on the pitch if I scored but he couldn’t get on. ‘I had to move a few stewards out of the way but it was great for them to be here for my first hull goal.’ nelson oliveira got shirty with norwich boss Daniel Farke after netting in the 88th minute as the Canaries snatched a 1-1 draw at Fulham. The Portugal striker, clearly furious at starting on the bench, ripped off his shirt, ran over to Farke on the touchline and pointedly showed him the name on the back. The norwich boss responded by kissing oliveira on the forehead and giving him a hug. But Farke insisted he had no issue with oliveira’s reaction. ‘he is a Portuguese guy and very emotional,’ said Farke. ‘When I think back to my own career I was angry when I didn’t play and if I scored I would show my shirt to the coach and even throw it at his feet. I think it is quite normal. All the players should want to play 90 minutes.’ Ipswich’s 1-0 win over Birmingham was marred by an injury to young England star Andre Dozzell. The 18-year-old was carried off just before half-time. he will have a scan today. Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp had to be bandaged up after clashing heads with John Egan as he scored the only goal in a 1-0 win against Brentford.
