Incognito Kate pops to shops

PRINCESS DIANA could not go shopping without attracting attention, but yesterday morning — the day after Channel 4’s controversial programme about her — the Duchess of Cambridge was calmly browsing in Peter Jones in London’s Sloane Square.

‘ I was in the bra department and suddenly Kate was standing next to me,’ says a fellow shopper. ‘ Like me she was interested in the Calvin Klein collection but couldn’t find the right size.’

But Kate did not leave empty handed. Her people carrier and security vehicle were parked close to the collection desk at the back of the store while one of her entourage popped in to pick up her purchases.
