Job title: Chief executive, Worldpay Education: BSc in economics, Cardiff University.

Career: Started out his business career at American consumer giant Procter & Gamble and held a number of senior roles at French catering and outsourcin­g firm Sodexo. Between 2011 and 2013 he was chief executive of food services group Brakes. He was parachuted into the top post at Worldpay in 2013 by private equity investor Bain Capital.

Family: Lives in west London. Has a wife and five children. ‘They are superb. My wife and I run a great little unit.’

Out of office: He plays lots of sport, including cycling, golf and cricket. Goes to the gym whenever he can. His son is a ‘massive’ Chelsea supporter. ‘We sit right behind the manager. Watching the managers Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho has been absolutely fascinatin­g.’
