LSE courses plummet in rankings
AN ELITE university that paid its last vice chancellor £1.7million has been given one of the lowest scores in the country for student satisfaction.
The London School of Economics (LSE) was ranked 381st based on the overall quality of courses. Only 7 per cent of its final year students said they were happy. The only mainstream universi- ties with lower scores were a handful of art schools including the University of the Arts, London.
In contrast, other members of the elite Russell Group of universities including Birmingham, Durham, Glasgow and Leeds all got 89 per cent. Interim director Julia Black said the LSE had responded to concerns.
