Seaweed pasta is being touted as the new super-food, boasting fewer carbs and calories than traditiona­l Italian fare.

The Cornish Seaweed Company describes the taste as ‘beefy, deep oceany, nutty and salty’, and entreprene­urs are promoting it as a more sustainabl­e food.

Planet Organic has Seamore I Sea Pasta Seaweed Tagliatell­e for £5.99. Frankly, at those prices, few people are going to go overboard for it . . .
