EVERY week, Money Mail receives hundreds of your letters and emails about our stories. Here are some from our report about the loyal British Airways customers who say the airline isn’t what it used to be... BRITISH Airways needs to distance itself from the budget carriers. If you fly business class or first class, you don’t want to be paying for food and drinks. Give us back an airline we can be proud of and leave the budget airlines to do what they do best. M. S., Glasgow. I HOPE the British Airways board is listening to these concerns about its services. We are the loyal customers who keep the firm in business. If it keeps messing us around, it will find it difficult to get that loyalty back. R. O., Liverpool. THIS is an industry-wide problem, not only BA. The majority of traditional airlines are reducing legroom and getting rid of freebies to compete with the low-cost airlines, which are continually taking bigger shares of the market. M. P., Manchester. I COULDN’T agree more. The aircraft are tatty and the staff a lot more irritable than they used to be. In my view, BA has sunk to the bottom of the pile in customer service, unless you can afford to fly business class. O. C., London.
