Terrible insult

-

HOW dare Vince Cable refer to those who voted to leave the EU as jihadis! He is using repulsive invective to describe those who chose to vote differently to the way he wanted.

This country stopped being a democracy at the time of joining the EU. The majority of our laws are made not by our elected members of Parliament, but by unelected officials in Brussels.

Had the referendum vote been to Remain, I would have suggested we get rid of the two Houses of Parliament. After all, what would be the point of having two hugely expensive law-making bodies if we were not able to pass any laws? GerrY CArTWriGHT,

redditch, Worcs. VINCE CABLE is correct in his view that the British have been undermined by the elderly. However, it is not British pensioners, but the age-old leaders and bureaucrats of the EU who have been misleading the UK since we foolishly joined.
