Lesson of history

PEOPLE like Vince Cable have little understanding of the damage the EU has done to the UK.

At the time of the referendum in 1975, I was working in the import and export business. By 1980 most of our trade with the Commonwealth, Middle East and South America had diminished through the restrictions of Common Market policies on the UK to trade outside the then EEC bloc.

I voted ‘No’ in 1975 and Leave last year, based on my lifetime experience. Now I find myself labelled a jihadi by Vince Cable when he is the one who threatens our democracy.

Name and address supplied. IF VINCE Cable is seeking evidence of silly old duffers who don’t know what they are talking about in relation to Brexit (or anything else for that matter), may I suggest he takes a lingering look in his shaving mirror tomorrow morning?
