You’re hired! Brady girl’s model job at mum’s firm
JUST days ago, Baroness Brady was named the new chairwoman of the company behind Sir Philip Green’s retail empire.
Now her glamorous daughter Sophia has been handed her first modelling job — by Topshop, which is owned by the billionaire’s wife.
Brady, 48, the West Ham United CEO and star of the TV series The Apprentice, disclosed the news yesterday when she proudly posted a photo of her daughter’s debut fashion advert on social media.
In the picture, which was also shared by Topshop with its nine million followers on Instagram, 21-year-old Sophia, whose head is not visible in the shot, sports the brand’s denim skirt, boots and pink fluffy handbag. ‘So proud of my daughter Sophia modelling for Topshop on Instagram. She looks amazing!’ gushed Brady, who quickly felt compelled to defend herself against accusations of nepotism online.
When one sceptic asked tonguein-cheek: ‘I wonder how she got the job?’, Brady replied: ‘What a horrible thing to imply. She got it on merit because she is gorgeous and fabulous but mostly because she deserved it.’
But it’s not surprising that the casting of Sophia, whose father is Brady’s husband, former footballer Paul Peschisolido, has raised eyebrows as she is only 5ft 3in — falling far short of typical model height requirements.
When it comes to self-promotion,
however, she seems to be a natural. Her social media is bursting with provocative selfies including this one, above, of her in a white twopiece bandeau bikini while her brunette hair cascades to her waist.
She has just finished studying film and television at Nottingham university and, having previously had a Saturday job at retail outlet Hollister, has now secured a job as social media assistant at Topshop. last month, it was announced that Brady, who also has a 19-year- old son, Paolo, was replacing lord Grabiner as the chair of Taveta Investments — the parent group of arcadia, which owns Topshop.
Two weeks before, she was luxuriating on Green’s £115 million superyacht, lionheart, in monaco, with her husband, Green and wife Tina.
