OPHELIA LOVIBOND (right) stars in Githa Sowerby’s 1924 drama about a young woman forced to reassess her marriage to an older man after her stepdaughter comes to her looking for help. Will Keen plays the shady husband in Richard Eyre’s production of the play by the feminist writer best known for her drama about a wealthy industrialist, Rutherford & Son.

OKLAHOMA! added fresh scope to the Broadway musical when it was first staged in 1943. The first collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, it is revived at the Albert Hall tonight as conductor John Wilson (pictured) brings his orchestra to the Proms.
