Geoff Norcott: Right Leaning But Well Meaning (Underbelly, George Square) Verdict: He’s blue!

THE Edinburgh fringe brochure claims it has been ‘defying the norm’ for 70 years but stand-up has not done that for ages. Most of the acts here are predictably anti-Trump/Brexit/Tories.

Out-and-proud Conservative member Geoff Norcott challenges that norm and delivers an hour of soft-spoken drollery, taking the rise out of posh Remainers, ranting Corbynistas, even Mary Poppins. Unusual and likeable, though he needn’t be quite so defensive.
