WITH more than 85 million Twitter followers, Taylor Swift’s influence among impressionable girls is enormous.

So why do I feel uncomfortable about her giving evidence in court against a regional DJ she claimed groped her bottom during a PR photoshoot?

Taylor ( left) was ‘ horrified’ and she ‘doesn’t want it to define her life’. She added: ‘After this happened, it was like a light switched off in my personality.’ Oh, come on! Yes, unwanted bottom groping is offensive, but most of the sisterhood, myself included, would have dispatched the alleged groper with a swift slap or punch.

Ms Swift, who of course, has a genius for self-promotion, should stop making such a meal of it — and, in the words of her famous song, just Shake It Off.
