Tennant stuns US fans with Brexit blast
SHE will be Britain’s first black marchioness, but Emma Thynn, aka Viscountess Weymouth, achieved fame years ago after being mistaken for singer Beyonce.
The mother-of-two — who is married to Longleat heir Ceawlin Thynn — reveals: ‘I was mistaken for Beyonce when I was 17, which was really funny. I was in France, AS HE time-travelled the universe in the Tardis, former Doctor Who star David Tennant battled his share of dark forces. But none is as seemingly malevolent as the Scottish star’s biggest bete noire: Brexit.
When a U.S. fan asked why there will be no more episodes of Dorset drama Broadchurch, Tennant wandered bizarrely off the subject to blast the decision to leave the EU.
‘It is a peculiarly British thing,’ he said. ‘We see something that works and we run from it. You’ve heard about Brexit? That’s what we do. If it works and it’s solid and it makes money and is good for everyone in it — abandon it immediately.’ Tennant previously called Brexit ‘depressing’ and was branded ‘Doctor Who Knows’ for dithering over Scots independence. In February, he switched from flying the Saltire for Scottish Labour to saying he’d back an independent Scotland in a second referendum.

The 31-year-old Viscountess has no problems attracting publicity now — although it is not known if Beyonce, 35, has been erroneously invited to any stately home dinner parties.
