WHAT would the Queen make of The Crown actor Matt Smith’s exposed chest, hippiestyle necklace, rumpled linen shirt and scruffy backwards baseball cap as he ambled around New York this week?

Smith plays Prince Philip in the hit Netflix drama, where he wears Philip’s starched white uniform of a commander in the Royal Navy.

The former Doctor Who sports a full beard for season two of The Crown, out in December, but girlfriend Lily James clearly prefers a clean-shaven look off-duty.
