Prison is like a holiday camp, violent thug brags on Facebook

- Daily Mail Reporter

A VIOLENT criminal jailed for attacking two women has bragged on social media that life behind bars is ‘like a holiday camp’.

Tristan Wilson, 20, has shared public ‘cellfies’ as well as a rap video from inside Doncaster Prison boasting about his lifestyle.

Wilson is pictured grinning in his Facebook profile picture from inside jail.

The convict, from Baildon, West Yorkshire, was imprisoned in July for eight weeks for assault by beating, assault against two women, damage to property and possession of classA drugs.

He is currently at HMP Doncaster – a Category B men’s prison run by pri- vate firm Serco. Wilson posted a two and a half minute video on Facebook on Wednesday in which he and two other prisoners rap to a camera.

Prisoners are not allowed to use social networking sites, but this is the latest in a string of similar breaches reported across UK jails.

With the caption ‘this is what boredom does to you,’ Wilson is seen in the clip wearing a North Face T-shirt, and dancing in his cell before ripping his top off.

The video has been viewed 1,300 times in just 17 hours and attracted 95 ‘likes’.

A former friend, who spotted the posts, said: ‘Tristan is posting loads of pictures on Facebook from a smartphone. It doesn’t seem as if he is showing much remorse for whatever he’s done to get in there.’

On July 21, Wilson first posted from behind bars asking friends to write to him. A friend asked how he could post on Facebook from inside: ‘How come you’re on face[book]?’

Wilson replied that living in prison was ‘like a holiday camp’.

He has also boasted life behind bars is ‘way too nice’ – and shared a topless photo with a cellmate.

Jerry Spencer, Serco’s contract director at HMP Doncaster, said: ‘We have taken immediate action to investigate this alleged incident and if it is proven to be true we will take all necessary steps to prevent a re-occurrence.’
