Elvis fans all shook up at £22 grave fee
ELVIS Presley fans visiting his grave on the 40th anniversary of his death have hit out at being made to pay £22.
Attending the annual candlelit vigil has always been free. But this week’s event, held at Elvis’s Graceland mansion, cost £22.31 ($28.75).
Thousands of fans had to buy an Elvis Week Property Pass wristband, which includes access to a new £35million entertainment complex at the site in Memphis, Tennessee.
Elvis Presley Enterprises, which runs Graceland, said the cost was for added security.
But English fan Anthony Stuchbury, from Bolton, who boycotted this year’s anniversary, called the fee ‘price-gouging’.
