Night Stone Keith lost his cool over a shepherd’s pie

YOU might expect the Rolling Stones to squabble over money, women or drugs. In fact, it was a shepherd’s pie that caused one of their stadium concerts to be held up for almost an hour.

Musician Chris Jagger, brother of Sir Mick, has related details of the row, which he describes as the backstage incident that made him laugh most.

‘Before a Stones stadium gig, Keith [Richards] came to eat in hospitality — and his favourite, shepherd’s pie, had been messed about with by some d***head,’ discloses Chris, 69, who has teamed up with Sir Mick for duets in the past.

‘ Keith said, “Someone’s bust the crust!” And he got into such a state that the show was delayed for 45 minutes.’
