Can’t face the upheaval of a stairlift?

-

ghBhDr likes upheaval in their home. So how do you cope with having a stairlift fitted? The answer is simple — there is no mess and upheaval! Some people put off having a stairlift installed because they can’t face the disruption and the prospect of expensive redecorating or rewiring. So it’s a pleasant surprise for them to find that a stairlift is fitted to the stairs, not the wall, so there is no need to drill through plaster or reinforce walls to take the weight. Carefully designed supports hold the light but strong aluminium stairlift rail at exactly the right height above the staircase and the correct distance from the wall. There is no need to remove stair carpets and the rail supports can even be fitted to stone stairs. There is no need for rewiring, either. The stairlift simply plugs into a standard socket. And the powerful batteries in the stairlift carriage are recharged whenever it is in the ‘docking’ position at the top or bottom of the stairs. These battery packs mean you’ll never be left stranded on the stairs if there is a power cut or a fuse trips. Your stairlift will continue to work until the battery charge is depleted, which should be several days. And because there is no structural work or damage to the walls, there is no need to redecorate. You don’t even need to get out the vacuum cleaner, as the installer will clean up well after themselves.
