Police in probe over exam leak
A GROUP of A-level students have had their results withheld amid a criminal investigation into a possible exam paper leak.
The teenagers are accused of accessing a website containing information about the tests before sitting their maths and economics papers.
Sharon Hague, of Pearson, which runs the Edexcel exam board, said she was ‘confident’ the students were identified. It is believed fewer than 15 individuals are involved.
Miss Hague said the issue was ‘contained within a geographical area’ and that she was confident that ‘no advantage was gained by any student’.
One person was disqualified from taking exams this year as a result of the inquiry.
