Natural not always best
MY SON was born under extremely difficult circumstances suffering from breathing and heart issues. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and, after 13 hours of labour, a Caesarean was performed.
I was distressed the next day when a nurse apologised: ‘I’m so sorry you couldn’t have a natural birth.’
If I hadn’t had the Caesarean, my son would have been brain damaged or dead.
