... after claiming she’d merely put on weight!
SHE had tried to rebuff pregnancy rumours by claiming she had simply ‘put on weight’.
But coleen Rooney has finally come clean and announced she is expecting her fourth child with her husband, footballer Wayne.
Fans have long been speculating about the 31-year-old being pregnant again after she posted a string of holiday snaps online in which she showed off what looked like a growing baby bump.
and yesterday she wrote on Twitter and Instagram about the news, and insisted she had never actually denied the rumours outright. She wrote: ‘So Happy!!! Never denied the news, but I was always protecting it!! Had scan and checks are fine… Baby number four is on its way.’
Wayne, also 31, who plays for everton, quickly retweeted the message, and fans sent their r congratulations to the couple online. last month rumours flooded social media after Mrs Rooney was s photographed in a bikini with a swollen stomach in Portugal – on what was the latest in a string of holidays this year.
addressing the reports, she had written on Twitter: ‘So basically… yes on holiday again… yes I’ve put weight on.’
earlier this month she continued to try to silence the rumours, telling the Daily Mail that she did not pay attention to ‘negative comments’ about her body.
‘It would hurt if it came from someone that’s important to me like friends or family,’ she said. ‘But the people who are criticising me are probably a lot heavier than I am so it doesn’t both me any more.
‘There’s probably someone who is 20 stone who is judging me online so I just ignore it.’ The Rooneys, who have been married since 2008, already have three sons – Kai, seven, Klay, four, and one-year-old Kit.
Mrs Rooney said recently that if they were to have another child she wouldn’t be ‘desperate’ for a girl and that she’s used to being in a house of boys as she grew up with brothers.
‘If we were to have any more children, a girl would be nice, but you can’t pick and choose,’ she added. ‘I’d be happy with another boy to join the madness of our house. either way, I don’t mind.’
