Barcelona pay tribute to terror attack victims

BARCELONA’S players paid their respects before last night’s 2-0 victory over real Betis to the 15 people killed in Thursday’s terror attacks in Catalonia.

The stadium fell silent in remembranc­e, while Barcelona players wore a special kit without their names on the back — just the word Barcelona. The front had the message Tots som Barcelona (We are all Barcelona, in Catalan).

An Alin Tosca own goal and a Sergi roberto strike ensured Barca made a winning start to the league season. elsewhere, Gareth Bale scored the opener as real Madrid won 3-0 at Deportivo.

In France’s Ligue 1, Neymar scored twice on his home debut for 10-man Paris Saint- Germain in a 6-2 win over Toulouse.

Four of PSG’s six goals were scored after Marco Verratti had been sent off for a second yellow card. There was a minute’s silence before the match which left Neymar — who has just joined PSG from Barcelona for £198m — in tears.

Bournemout­h loanee Max Gradel gave Toulouse the lead before a leveller from Neymar, who then set up Adrien rabiot.

Following Verratti’s red card in the 68th minute, Neymar won a penalty which was scored by edinson Cavani.

An own goal from Thiago Silva made it 3-2 to PSG but Javier Pastore and Layvin Kurzawa both netted before Neymar sealed the rout with a fine solo strike.
