Courtois has dig at Spurs ‘fake’ drum

THIBAUT COURTOIS has piled on Tottenham’s Wembley woe by ridiculing the ‘fake’ drum beat that echoed round the national stadium during Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea.

Spurs played a drum through the PA in an attempt to generate more noise and Chelsea goalkeeper Courtois said: ‘If you have to put noise over the speakers to make some atmosphere it’s not working very well.’

Spurs will play their home games at Wembley this season while White Hart Lane is being rebuilt and Courtois added: ‘All the teams that come here, instead of being impressed they will give more so for Spurs it won’t be easy.’
