Dame Joan Collins lambasted BA for failing to use her correct title. Now, BA has enraged cookery writer Annabel Karmel, whose plane was kept on the runway in Malaga for three hours ‘with no one even offering water to drink’.

When the flight was rescheduled for the next day, Karmel chose instead to pay ¤700 (£640) to fly from Gibraltar, 80 miles away. But she was not initially allowed to board. ‘Eventually, after crying with frustration at check-in at the unfairness of it all, they graciously allowed me on to the flight.’

How about she and Joanie chip in for a private jet?
