The wistful-looking 41-year-old Oscarwinning actress wears a rugged check mohair thigh-length jacket by Chloe.
But the garment has been left unbuttoned to reveal her sleek black underwear and toned figure.
Mother-of-three Miss Winslet, who is married to third husband Ned Rocknroll, posed sed in the unusual outfit for the Oc October edition of Glamour magazine and also appears on the cover.
In the accompanying interview, she speaks of her relief at being a successful actress. She admitted she had no backup plan if she had failed, adding: ‘I should have had one, because if it had all gone t*** up, I would have been stuck. I had a fleeting idea about becoming a hairdresser, but I cut off a friend’s earlobe trying to cut their hair.’
Her next movie, The Mountain Between Us, in which she and Idris Elba play plane crash survivors, is out in October.
