SINGING and dancing around in a 70s jumpsuit and gold platform boots, it’s certainly a change of pace from Downton Abbey.

This was Lily James on the set of the Mamma Mia prequel – in the first pictures to emerge of the hotly anticipated film. The 28-year-old, who found fame as Lady Rose in Downton, stars as a young Donna, the character played by Meryl Streep in the 2008 Abba musical film.

Miss James sang the Swedish band’s hit When I Kissed The Teacher on the set in Oxford. Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, to be released next year, will star many of the original cast, including Miss Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth. It is rumoured Abba’s Bjorn Ulvaeus

will also appear.
