Taxing times

WHEN submitting my tax return, to check my financial history I was asked what store or credit card I had taken out in 1982 — 35 years ago! I hadn’t a clue.

I was then told I had to submit photographic proof of my passport or driving licence, plus a selfie. I made six failed attempts to take a photo of my passport that the system would recognise. Now all I have to do is fill in my tax return. I hope that’s easier . . . HUGH NETHERCOT, Atherstone, Warks.
