- By MARCUS TOWNEND Racing Correspondent

TRAINER Richard Fahey is aiming Ribchester at the Group One Prix Du Moulin at Chantilly on September 10. The four-year-old started his British season with wins in the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury and the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot before a surprise defeat by Here Comes When in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. Fahey said: ‘We are getting him ready for France, all being well.’ Ribchester finished second in the 2015 Gimcrack Stakes but Fahey now has a victory in the most prestigious two-year-old race run at York after the clear-cut win of Sands of Mali on Saturday. Irish jockey Davy Russell has been cautioned by the Irish Turf Club for the incident at Tramore where he appeared to strike his mount Kings Dolly with his fist.
