Muller moans about sub role as Lewandowski doubles up

- BY JIM FOULERTON

ALL may not be well at Bayern Munich, Celtic’s Champions League opponents, with striker thomas Muller clearly unhappy at coach Carlo Ancelotti for leaving him out of the starting XI in a 2-0 win at Werder Bremen. Robert Lewandowski scored twice in the last 20 minutes but Muller, who had a hand in Lewandowski’s second, said: ‘I don’t know what the qualities are that the coach wants to see. Obviously mine do not seem to be in 100 per cent demand.’

Lionel Messi also scored twice — and had a penalty saved — as Barcelona won 2-0 at Alaves in La Liga. Barca expect Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele to have a medical today before his £ 130million move. Chelsea’s Group C rivals Atletico Madrid thrashed Las Palmas 5-1, with Koke scoring twice.

In Italy, Paulo Dybala scored a hat-trick as serie A champions Juventus came from 2-0 down to defeat Genoa 4-2.
