AUGUST 29, 1962 BLONDE actress Lore Frisch, one of East Germany’s film idols, has committed suicide because of the Berlin Wall. Lore, 37, who was persuaded to move to the Soviet sector shortly before the Wall was built, killed herself because she could no longer visit her parents’ home. The news was given by friends in the West. The Communists have not reported her death. AUGUST 29, 1966 PRINCE Philip has withdrawn from the England polo team because of the Government’s £50 foreign travel allowance restrictio­n. He will not join the team’s visit to Argentina in October and November. A Palace official said last night: ‘When everybody else is being restricted, Prince Philip would not want to set a bad example by spending unlimited sums.’
