A DOG
owner left her three pets locked inside a scorching van on the hottest August Bank Holiday on record. The terriers somehow survived the heat in the white Volkswagen from 11am to 3.30pm on Monday when temperatures rocketed to 28.2C (83F). The owner, who has not been identified, had gone to the Newlyn Fish Festival in Penzance, Cornwall. A passer-by squeezed her hand through a window, which was ajar, to open the car doors. Police found the owner but she was said to appear ‘unfazed’.
