Sucker punched

I COULDN’T believe the post-fight pictures of Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor — standing shoulder to shoulder, smiling and drinking, with not a bruise to be seen, no bandages or plasters, just two millionaires who have made money out of the gullible public.

The pre-match talk was all about the fight of the century, legend against legend, the integrity of boxing against the viability of mixed martial arts. We ended up with a damp squib.

You can bet that within two months, there will be the announcement of a re-match.
