The photo tribute that moved Wills to laughter . . .

AMID the poignancy of the walkabout, there was a brief moment of humour as William spotted a picture from 1994.

It showed him sporting a pair of aviator-style sunglasses as he and his mother watched the ladies’ singles final at Wimbledon. ‘Look at my shades,’ said William, laughing and gesturing to Harry to have a look.

The photograph was part of a montage of images of Diana that had been stuck to the palace gates along with dozens of banners and home-made cards.
