Murder island gets new owner
AN ISLAND which became infamous for a murder more than 50 years ago has been snapped up weeks after going on the market.
Little Ross island, off south-west Scotland, was advertised for offers over £325,000. The new owner of the island, which has a 19thcentury lighthouse, has not been named.
In 1960, two visitors to the 29-acre island found the body of lighthouse keeper Hugh Clark.
Another keeper, Robert Dickson, was initially sentenced to hang, but his sentence was reduced to life in prison.
