50 years on, Jane’s still Fonda her leading man
THEY started working together more than half a century ago. And the chemistry between Jane Fonda and Robert Redford is clearly as strong as ever. The pair, who first appeared on screen together in 1960's Tall Story but really dazzled as newlyweds in 1967's Barefoot In The Park, embraced yesterday at a press conference to promote their latest film, Our Souls At Night -their first collaboration in 38 years. Speaking at the Venice Film Festival, Red-ford, 81, said: 'I wanted to do another film with her before I died.' Miss Fonda, 79, said she loved that their films together 'book-end our careers', showing young lovers and now older lovers, and that she 'wanted to be able to fall in love with him again', adding: 'He doesn't like sex scenes. I live for sex scenes!' Both stars are to receive lifetime achieve-ment awards at the festival. Our Souls At Night will be released by Netflix on September 29.
