How Richard Bacon became the world’s biggest show- off
OVER the summer self-styled ‘minor celebrity’ Richard Bacon, once fired from Blue Peter for snorting cocaine, has posted a stream of snaps of his famous friends against a background of yachts, Bentleys and private clubs.
This week came a photo of a tennis match at Lady Annabel Goldsmith’s home in Spain, captioned: ‘My lifelong search for the world’s best-looking tennis court is finally over.’
Elsewhere on his smug showreel are snaps of artist Sam Taylor-Johnson at Babington House in a Bentley, and media millionaire Elisabeth Murdoch’s high-society wedding. ‘The single best party I’ve ever been to,’ Bacon wrote. ‘And I’ve been to a s**tload.’
But the name-dropping is too much for some. When Bacon posted a picture of daughter Ivy with her ‘favourite Richard’, screenwriter Richard Curtis, one follower wrote: ‘Ha ha, no getting above yourself then!’
