Do a photoshoot? They meant using your camera - not a gun, Brooklyn...

- By Tim Lamden

HE has only just moved to New York but Brooklyn Beckham already looks to have taken inspiration from some of the city’s most fearsome gangs.

The eldest son of ex-footballer David was slammed by fans after wielding the weapon during a bizarre photoshoot, shared with his ten million followers on Instagram.

Photographer Damon Baker posted several black and white images of the 18year-old striking various poses on the social media site yesterday.

In one image, Brooklyn, who has just won a scholarship to a prestigious Manhattan arts university to study photography, points a handgun directly down the lens.

Another shot shows him tensing his right bicep with his T-shirt sleeve rolled up to his shoulder while cradling the gun with his left hand to his chest.

Brooklyn set the photo as his profile picture but later removed it after some followers voiced their disappointment at the guntoting antics. One user wrote: ‘Look up Gun Violence Survivors Foundation.

‘You should go and talk to a few of them. Maybe posing with a gun would not seem so cool.’ Another follower added: ‘Gun was a big error of judgment.’

In June, the teenager released his first photography book, called What I See, which was launched with exhibitions in London and LA. He admitted struggling to get the collection formally passed by his superstar parents Victoria, 43, and 42-year-old David, saying: ‘Took bloody ages. Most times, I’m secretive about taking them.’
