Airline turbulence

WHAT a fuss the mother and daughter made when told their case was too big to go in a plane’s overhead locker (Mail).

I wish all airlines were as strict. I have seen travellers boarding planes with hand luggage that makes a mockery of the rules and backpacks that are as big as a suitcase.

Waiting patiently at the back of the queue, I have been told there was no longer any room, and my hand luggage would have to go in the hold. I have to wait at the baggage carousel because of the selfishness of other passengers and the airline’s leniency when it comes to its own rules.
