The boss of Johnson service Group, once one of Britain’s biggest dry-cleaning firms, is leaving.

Chris sander, 58, who joined Johnson in 1984 and became chief executive in 2014, will retire early next year. Johnson reported a 19.3pc rise in first-half revenues to £138m and a 30.3pc jump in profits to £12.9m.

sander, paid £700,000 last year, has shares worth £750,000. he said: ‘I will be retiring when the group is in excellent shape and very well-placed.’
