Am I wrong to be Right?

-

I AM ashamed to realise, based on the assumptions of others, what a horrible person I’ve become without being aware of it.

I’m white, therefore I’m racist. I’m heterosexual, so I’m homophobic. I voted Leave, so I’m xenophobic. I’m a pensioner, so I’m a parasite. I’m a Christian, so I’m a superstitious idiot. I believe the BBC is biased, so I’m an ignoramus.

These are the comments I’ve heard recently as, it appears, stereotyping by the Left is acceptable.

I have never judged anyone by the colour of their skin or ethnicity. I am not interested in people’s sexuality — it is their business, not mine.

I voted Leave as I do not wish to be ruled by the unelected commissars of a socialist superstate of Europe where the wishes of the electorate are treated with contempt.

I paid my National Insurance and income tax contributions to qualify for a state pension.

I try to live a Christian life, do good and be charitable, but do not think followers of other faiths are wrong in their beliefs.

The BBC has a perceived view of the world, and if you disagree with it, you are the one who is wrong. The BBC is always right, even though it is always Left!
