Brain vs screen

-

ON a day trip to Burnham Market, I bought an ice cream for £2.20 and an ice lolly for £1.30. the young assistant looked at his iPad screen and said: ‘£4.50.’

When I queried this, his reply was: ‘that’s what my iPad says.’ My immediate response was: ‘My brain says it’s £3.50!’

he told me his screen must have retained the previous order, but didn’t apologise.

What does this tell us about young people who rely solely on technology?
