LAST-MINUTE transfers on deadline day must have all the relevant documents in place by certain cut-off times. For domestic moves, the 11pm finish can be extended by two hours as long as both clubs sign a ‘deal sheet’ which includes the transfer fee. The extra time is to allow formalities to be concluded, not negotiations to continue. For international transfers, both teams must meet the FIFA Transfer Matching System deadline of midnight.
