Cockerel feud man cleared
A BUSInESSMAn accused of playing loud music to drown out the sound of his neighbours’ crowing cockerel has been given a restraining order.
neil Dymott claimed the bird, which belonged to Helen Richardson and Paula Holland, would crow more than 1,200 times a day, often until 10pm.
Dymott, 56, of Marchwood, Hampshire, played loud music by Queen from his car when it crowed on June 16, 2015.
Miss Richardson, 52, and her partner Miss Holland, 62, had not meant to hatch the cockerel, Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard. Dymott was given a twoyear restraining order, banning him from contacting the couple.
Clearing him of two counts of harassment, magistrate Colin Wyatt said: ‘It was childish, immature and petulant...’
