PACKAGE holiday operator Dart Group, which also owns airline Jet2, rose after reporting a jump in summer bookings in line with its recent 41pc seat capacity increase.

It said that close to half of the 1.3m passengers booked to fly with Jet2 have taken a package holiday with its service Jet2holidays.

Philip Meeson, the company’s executive chairman, said that full-year profits should be in line with expectations.

Shares yesterday rose by 3pc, or 15p, to 515.5p.
