MP brings baby to crucial Brexit vote

-

A TORY MP will bring her six-month-old baby to the Commons today so she can vote to ensure Brexit. Andrea Jenkyns will put her son Clifford in a cot in her Parliament office and then vote to secure the passage of the EU Withdrawal Bill.

The Morley and Outwood MP had to cut short her maternity leave after being called back by party whips to ensure the critical Bill passes, with the Government only having a narrow majority.

Miss Jenkyns said: ‘I’ll put Clifford in a cot in my office while I wait for the balloting. He’s a really good baby, but I can’t say it’s not exhausting.’
